Les Charlton
It is with the greatest sadness that the Trustees have to tell you that Les Charlton, our loved and esteemed chairman passed away on Friday 29th April.
Les joined the Board in 2003 after being the Regional Meeting Coordinator before that. He lived near Poole in Dorset and was an episodic sufferer of some thirty years.

Mike Pollock (Chairman)
Mike lives in London and became a Trustee of OUCH UK in July 2004. He has been a chronic cluster headache sufferer since 1991. In 2003 he had the first Occipital Nerve Stimulation procedure performed outside of the U.S.
Colin Allen (Helpline)
Colin is the OUCH (UK) helpline manager and has recently joined the board after being an Officer for several years. He lives in Liverpool and is an episodic sufferer of some 16 years.
Michael May (Treasurer)
Michael lives in Blackpool, and has been a chronic cluster headache sufferer for 16 years. In August 2005 he was fitted with an occipital nerve simulator. Through his condition he had to give up work in 2001.
Peter May (Research)
Peter May, another sufferer, who is well known to many for his in depth knowledge about most types of primary headache, also joins the board. Peter’s ‘day job’ involves conducting consumer research across a wide spectrum of markets including the pharmaceutical industry.
Peter Wynne-Davies
Peter, an Oxford graduate in law, has wide experience of public relations, IT and communications skills at senior management level. He also has parliamentary experience and is now OUCH’s representative on the board of Headache UK.
Karen Charlton (Publicity)
Karen Charlton, daughter of Les Charlton, has been our Publicity Officer since 2003 and editor of Chit Chat since 2006. She is also the driving force behind Team OUCH in the London 10k.
